OOTN & FOTN

It was so nice to catch up with friends on Friday night (thanks Rob!)  ;)

We went to a club called Bar244
I really liked the music - lots of dance music! All drinks are cheap at $3-$4. I think the only turn off for me was the young crowd - it felt like a throwback to high school ten years ago. Okay, that would be cool only if I was ten years younger LOL
Ah well, still had a fab time with friends and that's what counts :)

I haven't done an OOTN and FOTN post in a while so here is one for you (now you know why I was late ten minutes Rob haha)

I coloured my own hair earlier this week with L'oreal Feria #45 Deep Bronzed Brown.
If I stay within 1-2 shades of my natural hair colour, L'oreal Feria hair colour has never let me down. And even though my hair is a long length, I only need one Feria box dye

The eye shadow I have on is mainly MAC Nehru which I did a post on a few days ago here
The lashes I have on are my favourite pair! It's my trusty Ardell 107s and I've done a post on them here

I layered two necklaces: one is Hello Kitty and the other is from Charlotte Russe

I wore the Guess Kayla dress, which I'm not surprised to see they are sold out of
My purse is Steve Madden (I loveee the studs on this bag)
My heels are the Patent Uber Covered Platform Pump in Nude by Charlotte Russe (patent + nude + high heel = love at first sight for me! I have a shoe haul post coming up by the way)

These are the side slits in the Guess Kayla Dress

And these are all the accessories I had on last night :)
Not mentioned already is the Charlotte Russe bracelet to the far left.
The Bebe cuff bracelet (under the high heels)
Both rings are from Forever21
My watch is from Guess

Do you like seeing these type of posts?
If so, I will try to do them more often....

And how is your weekend coming along? :)

Accessories, Dresses, Makeup

Some of the things I got in the past month from...well, you know who ;)

Forever21 Floral Print Dress in "Blue Pink"
Shoes: Charlotte Russe Peep Toe Bootie with Side Zipper

The dress above reminds me of Tommy Bahamas because of the print and bright colours
And the peep toe booties above are from Charlotte Russe - I la-la-love them ;)

Black dress with shoulder beads from Forever21

I love the taupe colour of this Forever21 Perforated Knit Dress. It is a bit long (just above the knees), but it's nice for a more formal dinner

A couple of bandage dresses from a store on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto called Axiom

Frederick's of Hollywood "Intoxicating Ingenue Dress"

It was my first time visiting a Frederick's of Hollywood store when I was in Buffalo NY last month.
Dale and I went to the Walden Galleria location, which was a slight disappointment. I was expecting the store to be bigger, or at least have a better selection compared to their vast online selection.
But we did manage to find a couple of things including this nice black one shoulder ruffle dress ;)

As for the patent peep toe slingbacks above, I'm surprised they're not sold out online at Charlotte Russe yet. They can match almost any outfit and they're super comfortable yet sexy. I have them in every colour now :) yay!

If you read my blog, you'll know there's a running joke between Dale & I with holes in my socks

There's some affordable jewelry that I really like at Forever21

Dale chose these two earrings out for me himself from Aldo - they're really nice :)
The left pair is "gibler" in silver and the right is "gundlach" in white nubuck

I have swatches of all seven Icing nail polishes, which was picked up at Claire's. I will have it up in my next post shortly ;)
The bottom pink ring is the faceted faux stone ring from Forever21, the middle ring is the vintaged filigree ring from Forever21 and the top cream coloured ring is the faceted bead ring in olive/gold from Forever21.
I love rhinestones so the jointed leaf earrings from Forever21 are a favourite!

Left to right: China Glaze in "Innocence", Nina Ultra Pro in "Punki Pink", Orly in "Passion Fruit"
I picked out the far left polish, he picked out the other two bright colours (his favourites). I will try to get some swatches up in my next post

I agree with all the highly rated reviews of Rimmel Royal Gloss - the texture is smooth & not sticky

I rarely get a chance to visit Wal-mart, but on my last visit I picked up a couple of Hard Candy Painted Lady lipsticks, a Hard Candy Plexi Gloss and their Lash Tinsel Glitter Mascara
I have swatches of both lipsticks which I will also try to get up on my next post shortly

I did not pick out these Estee Lauder and Clinique makeup items myself - but for Estee Lauder, I love the luxe gold packaging and you can feel the quality from the amazing texture of their lip products

This is my second Hot Tools curling iron (the 1.5") - he got this for me when we were in Buffalo NY
I much prefer Hot Tools over Conair curling irons - for quality and the way it handles.
The price of Conair curling irons in Canada is pretty much the same as Hot Tools if you're getting it in the USA or through ebay ($30-$40)

The Tokidoki Sodashop perfetta cosmetic case from Sephora. The print is super cute! And I love how there is an inner slide slot inside the makeup bag.

Ahhh you know me with Hello Kitty! :P
We were in Sephora and I loved both the HK compact mirrors - by why oh why was the rhinestone covered one not a compact (it's a one-sided mirror)? So I chose this Hello Kitty compact instead which is super super cute - love the outer mirror finish and there's a magnifying mirror as well as a regular one inside

I will have some swatches up in my next post

Doing anything exciting this weekend? ;)

Review: Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment Conditioner

This was the only conditioner I used for 3.5 weeks while I was on vacation so it's time for a review...I bought this Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment hair conditioner from Sally Beauty Supply I know, the consistency looks gross but hey, it's conditioner! This product is highly rated by many users. At first I thought it was pretty good too - that is, until I ran out of my leave-in

Hands down, within top 3 best shampoos and conditioners I've ever used....10/10 in my booksIt's the Shiseido shampoo and conditioner. The one above is the "moist pack" one.I bought mine from the Asian supermarket T & T and I've seen it selling in Asian malls. I get mine for around $14 each. I've also tried the Shiseido Tsubaki line of shampoo and conditioner. This one is usually a few dollars

Review: TRESemme Curl Activator spray

I bought the Tresemme Curl Activator Spray a few months ago It's suppose to make the curls in your hair stay curled for a longer period of time. Yes, it does that. But this product is like strong hold hairspray. And it makes my the curls in my hair stiff as if I sprayed it down with extra hold hairspray. I don't like that! I want my curls nice and soft to touch :SI've even tried to spray it

Review: Review: Got2b fat-tastic instant collagen root-boosting spray

I have serious issues with lack of volume in my hair. My hair is just flat. It's like a helmet - and I don't usually bother to style my hair at all. But my younger sister who is big on voluminous hair inspired me a few weeks ago to put a little bit of effort into styling my hair. One of the products she recommended was Got2B fat-tastic root-boosting spray How to use the product See the

Skincare & Nail stuff from my Pennsylvania trip

I've been delaying this post but I picked up all of these skincare and nail items earlier this month when I went to Pennsylvania.I haven't seen the Johnson's Shea & Cocoa Butter scented baby oil sold up here so I picked one up. I like to use it in a bath or sometimes just apply it to damp skin after my shower. I have a bit of eczema on my right hand. And because the Aveeno Eczema Care Cream

Vaseline haircare + review: Absolutely Natural Conditioner

Wow I'm guessing the Vaseline 2-in-1 shampoo is common overseas? This is one of the reasons I like browsing the hair/skincare aisle in Asian supermarkets....because I find products that are not sold at local pharmacies/storesThis one even fights dandruffAnd this packaging reminded me very much of Pantene Pro-V's packagingIt's by Unilever! Whereas Pantene is by Procter and Gamble.....Here is

Vidal Sassoon Solutions Heat-Insulated Storage Bag + 2-in-1 Ceramic Styling Iron

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2-in-1 styling iron and Dale picked up the storage bag for it from Shoppers Drug Mart. They are both from the Vidal Sassoon Solutions line of products. This is the Heat Insulated Storage Bag. Dale bought it for my travel reasons. The storage bag is ideal if you use hair styling tools when you're traveling - because you don't have to wait for it to cool down before

Hair Treatment - Coconut Oil

I've tried a few oil treatments for my hair - olive oil, V05 Hot Oil, amla oil and coconut oil.Coconut oil has worked the best for me.I purchased an organic brand at Whole Foods (around $23 CDN I believe)And I also purchased a regular (non organic) brand ($4.79 CDN)I suggest if you intend on cooking with the same coconut oil that you use for your hair, that you purchase the organic one. Mainly

Miller Harris....you killed my hair! LOL

Who is Miller Harris? No, he's not your local town mayor.....it's a London Perfumer. And one of their signature lines called "Citron Citron" is well overpriced considering the quality is severely lacking. This was the line of products given to me at the Fairmont Palliser hotel where I stayed at for six nights last week: In fact, the Citron Citron Miller Harris line is given to all Fairmont hotel
